So the last few days here in Glasgow have been, well, stereotypically scottish. And by that I mean that the weather sucked. No two ways about it. Rain and wind and cold and dark. Not pleasant. But! Today Camila and Karin and I went to St. Andrews, and it was beautiful!
It's a lovely little university-oriented town, famous for being the birthplace of golf and a home to the protestant reformation (factoid). We visited the cathedral and the castle, both of which are in ruins as a result of the more physical aspect of the reformation. We took a stroll along the pier and listened to seagulls and smelled ocean water (ahhh), then wandered down Market Street (the main road) and got a late lunch (and coffee, of course). Then we went down to the golf course as it was getting dark and meandered a bit. Caught the 6:30 bus and made it back here a little while ago. A lovely lovely day, in total.

The accumulation of all of the lovely weather from this past week. You could swim in that puddle.

In front of the uni gates. We were a little upset we couldn't break in.

St. Andrew's Cathedral. Or, what remains of it. The protestants, led by the fire-and-brimstone sermoner Henry Knox, burned it down.

I love how you can tell just how enormous and magnificent it was.

Ahhh....ocean.

This is the little high rise that I just HAD to walk on. It was a little bit windy, which made it just a tiny bit scary. For someone less awesome than me, obviously.

This bridge is apparently very famous, I think it's near the 18th hole? Yeah, I know my golf.

Ready for this?

FLYING ERIN! I grew wings.
Pooh quote: "Always say Goodbye-and-thank-you-for-a-nice-time."
Much love,
